TOPIC: DON'T BE FRUSTRATED!
MEMORISE
Remember me, O LORD, with the favour You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation (Psalm 106:4).

Exodus 5:20-23
[20]. Then, as they came out from Pharaoh, they met Moses and Aaron who stood there to meet them.
[21]. And they said to them, “Let the Lord look on you and judge, because you have made us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
[22]. So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me?
[23]. For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.”
EXPOSITION
Trustration is a feeling of dissatisfaction, often accompanied by anxiety or depression, resulting from unfulfilled needs or unresolved problems. Thinking through our Bible passage today, you can imagine how frustrating the Israelites were, when their hope for deliverance was dashed as Pharaoh stood unyielding to let them go, even at God's command through Moses. Are you frustrated?. Getting tired, bored, or uneasy over life's situation? Frustration is nothing new, neither is it peculiar to you alone. It is a common phenomenon. Imagine how frustrated Moses was when he said, *LORD, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all* (Exod. 5:22-23). Dear devout, unanswered prayers over the salvation of a stubborn child, a messy marriage, unrelieved persecution, afflictions, demonic attacks, financial hiccups and diverse recurring sicknesses, can be frustrating, but God's Word instructs you to *Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him* (Psa. 37:7; cf. Jas. 5:7,8).
When trials and troubles come, they are opportunities to examine yourself (Have I brought this upon myself?), evaluate the goals (Is this all about me?), and exercise faith in God (Is my trust in God genuine?) (1 Pet. 3:14-15). When you respond over a frustration with either anger or doubts about God, you erroneously show God as small and weak, and make yourself look important (cf. Exod. 5:20-21). Our reactions to trials and setbacks reveal what we value most. Whenever frustration surfaces, show that your God is more powerful and trustworthy. Let everything be all about Him, and submit joyfully to His commands and demands.

PRAYER POINTS
1. I am alive in God; I refuse to be frustrated or intimidated, in Jesus' name.
2. Lord, help me out of every weapon of frustration the devil might put on my path to fulfilling Your plans/programme for my life.
3. Pray that God should come through for students who are almost being, or have been frustrated out of school because of challenges around.
