PAUL'S SELFLESS LIFE: MODEL FOR BELIEVERS
PHIL. 1:1; ACTS 20:32-35
Our world today is filled with selfish lifestyles that tend to draw attention only to ourselves, not caring for others. Christians have also joined this unfortunate bandwagon. In our text today, Paul exhibited the selfless life a Christian should live by showing his own example. Paul had the opportunity to live off the brethren but he ensured he and his companions were not burdens to anyone. They laboured to take care of themselves. Again, Paul chose to be a prisoner for Christ when he could choose a free life. We need to re-think our lives as believers. How are we living our lives? Are we living to please ourselves or to please God? Who are our daily choices meant to please: God or ourselves? Answering these questions sincerely will show if we are living for ourselves or for God.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: Check to confirm who you are really living for.
PRAYER POINT: Lord, help me to prioritize my life to live for You alone.
