SUPPORT EACH OTHER'S MINISTRY

RBT: Isaiah 50-52

Memory Verse: He said, “Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the LORD, the LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”' Exodus 17: 16, NIV

Bible Text: Exodus 17: 8-16

17:8 The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. 

17:9 Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.” 

17:10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. 

17:11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. 

17:12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. 

17:13 So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword. 

17:14 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.” 

17:15 Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner. 

17:16 He said, “Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the LORD, the LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”

The earlier we realise that there is a ministry as the 'Help Ministry' the better for this generation. Women are largely classified as those who fall under help ministry and, though that is true, many men have also been called into it. Help ministry is not a lesser ministry. In fact, under God, no ministry is bigger than another. What makes a help ministry unique is that it is created to assist a major call. 

In the passage we read, Moses was the one with the major call but the children of Israel would have been in big trouble if Aaron and Hur refused to play their parts. Whatever God has called you to do is not minor! Don't abstain from helping others just because they would be in the limelight while you would not be seen. The testimonies of many men of God associated with signs and wonders are the results of the efforts of praying partners, a committed prayer team, and help ministry somewhere. We are all part of one body. Together, we do more.

Insight: No ministry is lesser than another. Support each other's ministry.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to give my best form of support to Your work.
