TOPIC: Unforgiveness - Hindrance To Eternity In Heaven
SCRIPTURE: And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:16
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Unforgiveness is dangerous; it hinders a person’s access to Heaven.
MESSAGE:
Many years ago, I heard the story of one great man of God. There was a time this man of God fasted for seventy days and also did all manner of great exploits for God.
One day, he had an experience that in a dream, it appeared that his time on earth was up. He appeared before God in heaven, and the Lord told him that he was not qualified to be in heaven for two reasons.
The first reason was that he had not assigned the ministry committed into his hands to the next person since his time on earth was up.
The second reason was unforgiveness. He was not qualified to enter heaven because of unforgiveness. There was someone he had grudges against, and for that reason, he was not qualified to be in heaven. Interestingly, the person he had the grudges against was his classroom teacher in primary school. The teacher probably maltreated him while he was in school.
When he woke up from the dream encounter, he began to look for his primary school teacher in order to amend his relationship with him. At this point, the teacher was already advanced in age.
You see, unforgiveness is dangerous; it hinders a person’s access to Heaven.
The most devastating thing that can happen to anyone is to find oneself in eternal damnation in hell, not because one was a killer, prostitute or an armed robber but because there was someone they did not release from their heart.
Beloved, by all means, maintain a conscience that is devoid of offence towards God and men.
REMEMBER THIS: Unforgiveness is dangerous; it hinders a person’s access to Heaven.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me the dangers of unforgiveness. I receive the grace to maintain a heart devoid of offence towards God and men, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
