TOPIC: SCIENCE FOLLOWS AND REFERS TO FAITH

Hebrews 11:1-3

In this Kingdom, we believe and then we understand. However, the normal way of living in the world is that “We understand things and then we believe them”. Naturally, if I don’t understand it, I don’t believe in it. If I don’t understand that God is Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost all at the same time, I can’t believe it. All of that is natural thinking.

Even now, science has come to a place where you can have a baby without two people having intercourse. You can have an egg from somewhere and a sperm from somewhere else. I’ve ministered to people that the husband cannot produce sperm, and the wife cannot produce an egg. Can they ever have a baby? Naturally speaking, no! However, they can now have a baby medically speaking. Through IVF (in vitro fertilisation), science has offered that a couple could supply sperm and egg that undergo fertilisation in a test tube and the embryo is then put inside the woman to get her pregnant. The woman carries the baby to term and delivers just like every other pregnancy. That’s a scientific solution.

I must stress that even when the products of science are abundantly available, faith is better since we know that there are still many ailments today that science cannot handle.

So, science is good and necessary, but faith is better. Science and faith in God don’t necessarily conflict. Science discovers what God has hidden in life (Pro. 25:2, MSG). A genuine Christian that wants to live a successful life on earth will have faith and a right understanding of science.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, give me a deeper understanding of science and faith You have made available to live a successful life on the earth, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
