MEMORISE

With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you," Says Says the Lord, your Redeemer. (Isaiah 54: 8).

READ:

Isaiah 54:5-8

[5]. For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

[6]. For the Lord has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused,” Says your God.

[7]. “For a mere moment I have forsaken you,

But with great mercies I will gather you.

[8]. With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the Lord, your Redeemer.

EXPOSITION

"Tough times never last but tough people do." Tough people have problems, but win at last. Why? "Winners never quit and quitters never win." There will be victory at last, if you faint not. Are you tired, weary, disappointed, afflicted, discouraged, despised, or forsaken? It is only natural to feel so. Strength, appointment, rest, encouragement, praise, comfort and enlargement are all coming your way, and this is your special day of divine encounter, in Jesus' name. Nonetheless, perseverance and endurance remain key to overcoming difficult moments (Psa. 27:14). The moment they are lost, the pressure to bow heightens. This isn't God's plan for you. You won't perish in your predicament. Most times, man is expected to just endure, hold on for just a little more time; but unfortunately, some chickened out (cf. 1 Kgs. 13:13-19).

Whatever you may be going through, God is encouraging you this day to endure just a little more. Joseph endured and later became prosperous. David, despite all his pre-enthronement travails, still fulfilled God's purpose, because he endured. Daniel and his 3 Jewish friends were afflicted as if God had turned away from them, but they held on to Him while the moment lasted. What followed their predicaments (Dan. 3:30; 6:28)? Our Saviour and Lord Jesus endured the most excruciating moments of torture, abandonment and pain before the glory came. We must all have stories to tell before our glories manifest. Keep enduring; you will surely prosper!

My grace is sufficient for thee,

Oh, matchless, boundless grace of God,

My grace is sufficient for thee.

What a balm such a promise must be

To the laden ones seeking for rest,
