TOPIC: REMOVE BARRIERS TO DESTINY

BIBLE READING:

1 CORINTHIANS 13:9-11

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

KEY VERSE:

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” 1 Corinthians 13:11

MEDITATION:

Benjamin Franklin, one of the outstanding founding fathers of the United States of America, confessed in his autobiography that at a certain point in his life, he realized some wrong attitudes he had cultivated were hurting the emergence of his great future. He said he had to make a U-turn and started developing virtues that would enhance the maximization of his full potentials.

A man was quoted to say, “Sow a thought, you reap an action; sow a habit, you reap a character; sow a character, you reap a destiny.” What we do on a daily basis can be an enhancer of destiny or can serve as a barrier to the great and fulfilling future God has in mind for us His children (Jeremiah 29:11).

All we will ever need for life and godliness have been delivered to us on the account of redemption in Christ Jesus (2 Peter 1:3). It is therefore our responsibility to remove from our path to this glorious future every constraint. We can get this done through the strength of God available to us in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:13).

What are the identified obstacles you need to remove from the way to your promised land?

PRAYER:

O Lord, grant unto me eyes to see the little foxes that want to spoil my vine and give me grace to deal with them in the name of Jesus.
