DON'T EMULATE WORLDLY RULERS
MK. 10:41-45
It is a big deal to occupy a position of authority in world setting. Apart from the fact that leaders make all the decisions concerning resources, they also take almost all resources leaving the followers impoverished. They exercise their lordship over their followers to any extent they desire. But the Lord made it known to His followers never to follow the world's example of leadership. As far as the Lord is concerned, leaders are servants. They are to serve the followers. The more you serve, the more your leadership influence. You are not a leader until you serve. Leadership is not synonymous with title as far as God's kingdom is concerned. What matters to God is our serving capacity.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: Your title and position matters less to God; the level of your service to God through humanity matters more to Him.
PRAYER POINT: Lord, help me not to abuse the privileges You have given me. Help me to serve sincerely in Jesus' name.
