WORKERS NEEDED

RBT: Jeremiah 15-17

Memory Verse: News of this spread through all that region.” Matthew 9:26, NIV

Bible Text: Matthew 9:23-28

9:23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes,

9:24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him.

9:25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.

9:26 News of this spread through all that region. Jesus Heals the Blind and the Mute

9:27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

9:28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied.

A new missionary couple went to Zambia in East Africa. During their first week there, their one-and-a-half-year-old child crawled under a car and was killed. Even though they were greatly saddened, the couple is still in Zambia today spreading the good news of the gospel and delivering the oppressed. When they were asked the reason for staying in Zambia after the incident, they simply replied, “Workers are needed in this region to spread the good news.”

Jesus arrives at the house of Jairus whose daughter was dead. Jesus said that the girl was sleeping and not dead, to which the hired mourners responded with insults. He took the girl by the hand and she rose up alive. On the way from Jairus' house, Jesus was followed by two blind men crying out loudly to him to have mercy on them. They received their healing as ordered by the LORD. The news of these two miracles spread through all the region.

Workers are needed to share the gospel, as the missionary couple responded in the above story.

Are you ready to be a worker in the vineyard of God? Commit yourself now.
