"SAY NO"

KEY VERSE: "There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" Genesis 39:9

TEXT: GENESIS 39:1-12

There are so many evil doings in our society today especially among youths that it will take a child who is a real friend of Jesus to say NO to such bad influences. All these vices are present in our schools, neighbourhood and the society at large. It is important to know that it has always been like that since the fall of Adam. Yet, the encouraging fact is that, there were many young people who were able to stand firm and remain uncorrupted. How did they succeed? They determined to say"NO" to evil and to defend the truth. Such was Joseph who refused to commit immorality with His master's wife because he feared God. Remember His parents were not with him. He was far away in a strange land yet he stood firm on God's word.

The question is, are you like that? Do you obey the word of God you have been taught by your godly parents? If you are a disobedient child, today repent so that you can receive the blessings of God. Anywhere you find yourself, dare to be a "Joseph", take your stand and say no to evil. Stand for righteousness and Jesus will stand by you.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, give me the courage to always say NO to evil.
