TOPIC: KNOWLEDGE AND FAITH

Luke 13:11-16

Nothing of God works without knowledge and faith. In the passage above, Jesus sighted a woman with the spirit of infirmity and intervened in her matter. This led to a serious argument among the rulers of the synagogue. Luke 13:16 says, “And ought not this woman, BEING A DAUGHTER OF ABRAHAM, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” Why did God move for this woman? She was a daughter of Abraham, a covenant carrier. Her case was a divine obligation. This woman’s case is significantly different from that of Blind Bartimaeus. She did not have to call on Jesus. Do you know your case also is on the obligation list in heaven?

However, nothing of God works without knowledge and faith. You can’t take a position that you are not aware belongs to you. You can’t have faith for what you are not knowledgeable about. “BEING A DAUGHTER OF ABRAHAM” is a covenant position. This woman, by her covenant status, shouldn’t be carrying the spirit of infirmity, but she bore that condition for 18 years due to ignorance of her status. I pray for you today that what ought to be for you that is not in place will happen for you now in Jesus’ name. You may have a condition in your body, but if you are a child of God, God is interested in that case.

Esther 3:4

4 Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.

Mordecai knew that he was a seed of Abraham as a Jew. He understood the covenant. In every human endeavour, our result is supposed to be different from that of others. If the covenant worked for Mordecai, then it must work for you as a spiritual Jew.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive understanding to walk and operate in my covenant status as a believer in Jesus’ name. Amen!
