GOFAMINT DAILY DEVOTIONAL READING WED. 13/9/2023 WHO IS IN THE BOSOM OF THE FATHER

 

JN. 1:15-18

The expression 'in the bosom' talks of intimacy, affection, wonderful relationship etc. Jesus is in the bosom of God as His beloved Son due to this inseparable relationship. There is nothing the Father keeps away from Jesus (Jn. 5:20). Believers are expected to grow to the point of becoming bosom friends of Jesus, having a great relationship with the Lord. This truly is the will of Jesus for us. But this will only be possible when we do all that He commands us (Jn. 15:14-15). Whatever Jesus tells us is what God is telling us because He is in the bosom of the Father. Listen to His voice today and carry out all His instructions and it shall be well with you.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: He who is in the bosom of the Father is Jesus.

PRAYER POINT: I choose to become the bosom friend of Jesus, Lord help me to remain so.
