Memory Verse: Therefore, there is now, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8: 1, NIV

Bible Text: Romans 8:1-4

8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 

8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 

8:3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 

8:4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 

Condemnation is a legal term used by court of competent jurisdiction. From Webster's Dictionary, condemnation is defined as the act of judicially condemning, or adjuging guilty, unfit for use, or forfeited; the act of dooming to punishment or forfeiture. 

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God through Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden when God's image in human was distorted. God, however, found a glorious way through the shedding of Jesus' blood, without which there is no remission for sin. However, the sacrifice of Jesus through the blood He willingly shed, restored our lost relationship with God. 

Jesus Christ, by His grace, condemned sin in the flesh. Therefore, whoever comes to God through Jesus by accepting His sacrifice has been translated into His marvellous light, but whoever does not believe in Him is condemned already (John 3: 17-18). The only condition to escape condemnation is to accept the offer of salvation which Jesus Christ brought through His death and resurrection. 

Is Jesus the LORD of your life? If not, repent of your sins and accept the offer of salvation - today is the day of salvation.

Insight: Being in Christ is the only way to escape condemnation, for He has paid the price.

Prayer: Help me, oh LORD, to continually remain in You.
