NIGERIAN BAPTIST CONVENTION SEEK DAILY (NBC) Sunday, September 10 THE SAME LORD

RBT: Daniel 1-3

Memory Verse: For there is no difference between Jews and gentiles- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, Romans 10: 12, (NIV)

Bible Text: Romans 10:9-13

9:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

9:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

9:11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

9:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all whocall on him,

9:13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

There are many things contemporary Christians do that separate them instead of uniting them. There are many denominations, with different doctrines, ways of worship, and dressing. Instead of concentrating on things that centre on the same Lord, giving attention to undue differences has given room to the devil and his cohorts to penetrate into the midst of believers and made us lose focus of the Great Commission.

From today's passage, Apostle Paul reiterates the condition for salvation of one's soul as confession with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believing from the heart that He was raised from the dead. It means that whoever believes will not be ashamed. Nothing makes anyone important or unimportant whether on grounds of race, status, stature or background. We are saved by the same Lord and requirement for salvation is same for all (Romans 13: 8). Have you accepted Jesus as the Saviour and Lord of your life? There is no other way to get to the Father, but through Him (Acts 4:12). Are you causing segregation in the church of God?There is only one Lord.

Insight: Jesus' offer of salvation is enough to get you to heaven. Don't miss it.

Prayer: Help me, o Lord, that I might not disappoint You or my generation.
