RBT: Micah 1-4

Memory Verse: A new command I give you, love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another, John 13: 34-35, NIV

Bible Text: John 13:31-35

13:31 When he was gone, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified and God is glorified in him. 

13:32 If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once. 

13:33 “My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. 

13:34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 

13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” 

A sick old man summoned his six children whom he knew were not united. He urged them to love one another no matter their differences, if they really loved him and desiredhim to have a peaceful end.

Love is complete acceptance. When we allow someone to be exactly as they are, without any belief that they are not good enough. One of the signs that announces us as children of God is the demonstration of love for one another. God loves the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son to die for us while we were yet sinners. Jesus loves us so much that He laid down His lifefor us; likewise, He wants us, as His disciples, to express our love for others in the same way.

_Beloved of God, the issue being raised by Jesus here is not a plea but a command. You are expected to love unconditionally. Why do you find it difficult to love? Check your life._

Are you awaiting the second coming of Christ? Are you keeping malice with anyone? Has anybody offended you? Seek reconciliation and, by this, people will identify you with Jesus.

Insight: Love as Jesus loves; the reward is marvellous.

Prayer: God, inspire me to love others as You love me.
