BIBLE TEXT: Deuteronomy 5:16

[16]Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

MESSAGE: 

One of the ways to lengthen one's days is by loving God with the totality of your being. Luke 10:27 says:

*"And he answering said, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself"*.

When you love God completely, you will find it almost impossible to do anything contrary to what He likes, and in turn, He will satisfy you with long life. In a way, having the consciousness that you carry God's presence everywhere you go will make you very selective of the places you go, the things you do, and the people you associate with, thereby helping you make healthy choices about your life that can preserve you.

The increase in mortality rate among Young people can be reduced if they purpose in their hearts to do the will of God. I pray that the Lord will give you wisdom to do this daily in Jesus' name.
