OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS DATE: TUESDAY 5TH OF SEPTEMBER, 2023 THEME: ANOINTED FOR INTERCESSION

MEMORISE: And he spake a parable and them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke 18:1

BIBLE TEXT: Job 42:10

[10]And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

MESSAGE:

People engage in all sorts of prayers. From experience, I can say that the most rewarding type of prayer is intercession. It is praying for other people, members of your family, church, School community, or others for whom God has laid a burden on your heart.

Today's text shows the enormous reward that Job had as a result of his intercession for his friends:

*And God turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends..*

Personally, I have enjoyed God's mercy, favour, and goodness because I prefer to intercede for people than to pray for myself. When you make other people priority before God, He will definitely attend to your own Case. Intercessory prayers bring peace, power and prosperity.

ACTION POINT

Remember to pray for your classmates, your pastor, and the president of your country today.

HYMN 13 - PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOUR

1. Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,

Hear my humble cry;

While on others Thou art calling,

Do not pass me by.

CHORUS

Saviour Saviour,

Hear my humble cry;

While on others Thou art calling,

Do not pass me by.

2. Let me, at Thy throne of mercy

Find a sweet relief;

Kneeling there in deep contrition,

Help my unbelief.

3. Trusting only in Thy merit

Would I seek Thy face

Heal my wounded, broken spirit,

Save me by Thy grace.

4. Thou, the spring of all my comfort,

More than life to me.

Whom have I on earth beside Thee?

Whom in heaven but Thee
