SINCERE MILK MONDAY SEPTEMBER 11, 2023 GROW IN GRACE

KEY VERSE: "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." 2 Peter 3:18

TEXT: 2 PETER 3:13-18

Growth is very important in every aspect of life. Immediately a baby is conceived in the mother's womb, growth begins. The child will keep growing and developing till it's time to be born into the world. After birth, the child continues to experience physical growth. At a stage the child begins to crawl, attempts to walk and finally begins to walk. The child grows to an adult and experiences several levels of growth until old age.

This type of growth is in the physical, but is related to the spiritual, as you grow physically, you need to also grow spiritually. A child can grow spiritually by doing the following

(a) living a holy life; (b) hungering for God's word through daily Bible reading; (c) developing a consistent prayer life; (d) preaching the gospel to sinners and neighbours; (e) visitation and follow-up; (f) regular fellowship with the children of God; (g) waiting patiently for Christ' return.

A sinner cannot grow in grace. To experience real spiritual growth, you must repent of your sins, forsake your bad ways and accept Jesus as your personal Saviour and Lord.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, give me power to grow spiritually so that I can be victorious in life.
