SINCERE MILK SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 02, 2023 NEVER GIVE UP

 

KEY VERSE: "If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small." Proverbs 24:10

TEXT: PROVERBS 24:10-14

A story was told of a missionary who went to another country to preach the gospel. He preached for so many years but there was no success. At a point, he became discouraged and was ready to give up the work. One night, he slept, had a dream and saw himself using a hammer to break a big rock. He hit the rock with the hammer several times but the rock did not break, so he became tired and discouraged and was ready to walk away. Suddenly, someone appeared to him and encouraged him not to give up that even if there appeared to be no success, what was important was that he did the work he was asked to do, he should leave the success in the hand of the One That sent him to do the work. The missionary was encouraged to try again.

As he lifted up the hammer and hit the rock one more time, the rock broke into pieces. He got the message. "Never give up in life."

Many children are faced with life challenges and are becoming frustrated after they had tried and tried but failed to overcome. The story of the missionary should be a lesson to you that you should never stop trying. If you have prayed over a problem and the problem is still there, pray again, and never stop praying until you have the solution. Never give up!

PRAYER: God, give me the strength never to give up inlife, no matter the challenge.
