GOFAMINT DAILY DEVOTIONAL READING FRI. 6/10/2023 JESUS: THE LIGHT

JN. 1:1-4; 9:5; 12:16

The permanent solution God provided to solve the problem of darkness on earth was to send Jesus, as the Light of the world. The Bible says; "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." Jesus declared in Jn. 9:5 and Jn. 12:46 that He is the light of the world. It means for the world and the people to eject sin, wickedness, and all manners of evil, Jesus is the only solution. It simply means that anywhere light (Jesus) is not welcome, darkness always reigns there. This is where each of us needs to sit and reconsider our lives. Do we have the light already or is He absent? If He is absent, then we are in darkness. 1 Jn. 2:9 says; "he who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now." We need Jesus, the Light in our lives to eradicate darkness. If you have not accepted Jesus into your life, you need Him now. You cannot afford to die in darkness.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: Jesus, the light of the world, is God's permanent solution to the darkness of the world.

PRAYER POINT: Jesus, the light of the world, continue to shine in my life.
