BIBLE TEXT: 2 Timothy 2:21-22

[21]If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

[22]Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

MESSAGE: 

Fornication is a sexual sin which destroys lives and destinies. Unfortunately, it is one of the sins that appeal more to teenagers because it is enjoyable. However, it has many dangers. One of them is that it ignites a fire that leads to self-destruction immediately after it is committed. This fire burns and does not get quenched until it finally destroys the fornicator. Job 31:12 says:

*"For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction and would root out all mine increase."*

This Scripture further explains that fornication can destroy the blessing gotten over the years. When you have sexual relations with someone, there is an exchange of spirits, which also means that there is an exchange of curses and problems.

My dear child, fornication destroys the soul. Confess your sins and stop them now that you still have the chance. Don't destroy your beautiful future with a few minutes of ecstasy, and if you are already deep in premarital sex, ask for counselling and prayers today. May God give you victory over the flesh in Jesus' name.

KEY POINT:

Don't be like Esau, who sold his birthright for a plate of porridge.
