TOPIC: HELL: THE SINNERS’ ETERNAL HOME

MEMORY VERSE:

“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torment, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom” (Luke 16:23).

READ: LUKE 16:19-29

MESSAGE:

In our text, Jesus spoke of a certain rich man, a certain beggar named Lazarus and Abraham. These were real people who lived on earth many years ago, died and were buried. Our text, therefore, is not a parable or fiction but a true story. Further revelation from Christ from our text showed two destinations or homes after death. For Lazarus, it was Abraham's bosom. For the rich man it was Hell!

The Bible continually warns of a place called hell. There are over 162 references in the New Testament alone which warn about hell and over 70 of these were uttered by our Lord Jesus Christ. Hell is real. It is a horrible place of agony, torment, and everlasting destruction. The fire there is not quenched, a place of hopelessness for ever for the sinners. Death is inevitable for all, and the rapture is imminent. The only way to escape hell is to repent and submit to the Lordship of Christ. God does not want you in hell. There is no respite in hell!

PRAYER:

Lord, I will not go to hell. Save me!

 CHALLENGE:

Accept Christ to avoid hell.
