THE SUFFICIENCY OF GOD'S GRACE
Read: 2 Corinthians 12:9
2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
MEMORISE:
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
(2 Corinthians 12:9).
EXPOSITION
God's grace is sufficient to see us through tough situations! This was what the Lord told Apostle Paul when he was either being persecuted or sick because of his ministry to the Gentiles, or going through any other tough situation. When we serve the Lord, there are bound to be tough times, and when the going gets tough, our Lord tells us, My grace is sufficient for you! God never says that following Him, an integral part of which is serving Him, is going to be free of challenges and antagonism. In fact, Jesus says, The world will hate you because of Me (Matt. 10:22). He also says in John 16:33, In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. And if Jesus has overcome the world and He is with us, then together with Him, we shall overcome the world!
So, as you walk with, and serve Him, know that He is with you, and that His grace is always sufficient for you. There isn't a situation where God's grace cannot, or will not extend to where His sons and daughters serving Him and fulfilling His purpose. There isn't a child of God who will not be strengthened by His grace when he encounters any crisis in his walk and ministry. God is always ahead of us, and His grace will lift us when our feet are feeble. God's hands will carry us and we will be victorious in His name!
