But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary.They shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Zechariah 10:6-12
[6]. I will strengthen the house of Judah, And I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, Because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside; For I am the Lord their God, And I will hear them.
[7]. Those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, And their heart shall rejoice as if with wine. Yes, their children shall see it and be glad; Their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.
[8]. I will whistle for them and gather them, For I will redeem them; And they shall increase as they once increased.

Says the Lord.
EXPOSITION
Energy is the capacity of acting or being active, or a vigorous exertion of power. It is also a fundamental entity of nature that is transferred between parts of a system in the production of physical change within the system, and usually regarded as the capacity for doing work. Energy is synonymous to strength, might or power. When something or someone is strengthened, such can easily overcome obstacles and get some great things done to time. The Bible relates waiting on God with renewal of strength. Meaning that, as a Christian, your spiritual strength is directly proportional to your waiting on God. Waiting period at any point in life is not a waste. It is God's strategy to build our inner man.
According to Isaiah, strength enables you to soar like eagles and helps your sprinting power. With the renewable strength from the Lord that comes from waiting, and relying on the Lord, you can run in the marathon without growing weary. When God is the strength of your life, your strength will never go down just as the Psalmist declared: *The LORD is the strength of my life...* (27:1b). Rather, it will be renewed and increased by the day. In the bid for God to restore His people who had suffered series of captivities because of their recalcitrance, God promised to strengthen them (Zech.10:6,12). When you are strengthened, you are like a fortified wall that can face any tension. God's strength will enable you to stand against any opposition and overpower your persecutors and tormentors. Are you one of the people of God? If yes, the strength of God is coming to you, and everyone who is of God, so that they can walk up and down in the name of God.
