Our Daily Manna Devotional 28 October 2023 TOPIC: THE PILOT CAME OUT INTACT! HOLD ON!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: JOB 14:14; JEREMIAH 29:6-14

I watched an old video that was recorded in 1944, during World War II, of a certain pilot who was trying to land a jet on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the sea. From the way he hovered over the ship, you could see that he was struggling.

When he finally landed, it was so rough that parts of the jet broke off and the tyres ran to different directions. But he was safe, and came out in one piece.

Someone then commented on the video, asking if the pilot would be disciplined for such a poor landing. But another person responded that the pilot would not be punished because it happened in 1944 and pilots were still perfecting the skills of landing jets on aircraft carriers.

As long as he was alive, it was a perfect landing irrespective of whether the plane broke apart or not. Wow! This got me thinking that no matter how 2023 has been, NEVER GIVE UP!

The aircraft of your life must have crash landed many times – many mistakes must have been made, there might have been delays, disappointments, betrayals, etc. BUT THANK GOD YOU ARE ALIVE!

AND BECAUSE YOU ARE ALIVE YOU WILL FULFIL DESTINY! Leon Trotsky once said: “The end may justify the means as long as there is something that justifies the end.” Refuse depression or condemning yourself! Hear Mahatma Gandhi: “Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.”

Never forget that God’s delays are not God’s denials! Circumstances may cause interruptions and delays, but never lose sight of your goal. Abraham Lincoln once said: “I am a slow walker, but I never walk back.”

Whether the devil likes it or not, you will arrive at your expected end (today’s 2nd scripture, Vs. 11). Amen and amen! Pray now!
