SELFLESS SERVICE INDEED
LK. 10:30-37
The parable of the Good Samaritan taught us different lessons. We can deduce from the parable that a self-centered life is not just about thinking of or living for oneself but also that a self-centered life is not limited to unbelievers; believers and servants of God are not left out in this. The Priest and the Levite in the parable revealed their level of spirituality and that much more is expected from them. Unfortunately, they were not of help to the wounded man. It was the Samaritan who was regarded as an unbeliever that came to the rescue of the dying man. Several lives are dying around us; they will perish forever if we do not come to their rescue as fast as possible. Our spirituality will amount to nothing if we cannot affect unbelievers for Christ.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: We don't need to look away from the dying sinners around us; God is counting on us to rescue them.
PRAYER POINT: Help me Lord to do all I can to ensure dying sinners are restored to You in Jesus' name.
